Sooooooooper Tuesday!
Actually, not really…but as we always said in the good ‘ol USMC “false motivation is better than no motivation at all!!” Today on the drive into work all I kept hearing on the radio was ’super Tuesday’ blah blah blah. Got to work around 8:30; meeting; then ran 4 miles at lunch w/some other NM folks; more work; testing; failed testing; then ESpeed called and I decided it was time to leave work.
ESpeed informed me that the Greater Cleveland half iron I’m planning on doing costs $130, so I might have to scratch that one. I just don’t see paying that much money for a race that I don’t care that much about doing. I’ll see what Toddykins says and go from there. (’Cause you know, I can’t make any decisions on my own!!) For now I’m going to keep my eyes open for another half iron that is around the same time but costs less. I wanted to do Greater Cleveland since it’s part of The Beast, so we’ll see.

It looks like $130 is the going rate for a 1/2, the other half on the schedule (mountaineer) is $125
I’m too cheap for triathlons now! Bring on the ultras!

I am totally bumming as I got a invitation to my friend’s wedding the night before GCT which is 1.5 hours away. I am debating if somehow I can do both….even if I can it would totally not be ideal. Skipping the wedding is not an option, so I suppose I am on the fence too.

Oh, you’re good for $130 with that fancy new job in NM… it’s it worth it for an Erie swim followed by those hills on Baldwin Rd? Besides, that race is on my calendar and I’d like to be beaten by as many friends as possible.

Jeff - that’s sweet! We’ll have to try to do a race together - if nothing else that trail run in N. Chagrin.
