Weekly training recap 6/2 - 6/9
Last week was stressful. I have been invited to attend an annual meeting in The Netherlands (Amsterdam and Eindhoven) and have been scrambling to get the financial and logistical details worked out. I finally just decided to pay for the trip with my personal credit card and let Philips Corporate reimburse me. It’s a long story - trust me, it wasn’t worth it for me to try to get Philips to pay up front. So anyway, I leave next Wed. afternoon and will be back Sunday night. Very fast trip. I’ll be sure to take TONS of pictures and document the whole thing.
Also stressful is the fact that I’ve been working on the same project at work for what seems like an ETERNITY. Just when I think I have something working I test something else and it’s not. That’s what happened today. Adding to this is my summer class which started last week. I need to stay focused and remember what is important…
Here’s a recap from the week’s training:
Monday: ~4.5 mile run at lunch

Have a great time in Amsterdam. I hope you managed to squeeze in a little fun time while your there. Be sure to congratulate the locals for their 3-0 victory over Italy in the first match of Euro 2008 (soccer). If you want to have an interesting experience, find a local sports pub and watch the Netherlands v France match on Saturday.

Holland! Sweet! I was just reading about how the Dutch can use pre-tax money to buy bicycles for commuting. Ask around while you’re there - I’m curious if lots of people/companies take advantage of the program.
